Suresh Patel : I need to consult an expert like you regarding EPCG license. I read your article on internet and I am impressed by your desire help others like me.I have returned from USA and is in the process of building a Retirement Resort and a Life Style and Recreation Club in Gujarat. I will be able to earn foreign exchange for India in two ways - When individuals will purchase their residential units, the payment will be made in USA dollars or Euros. Also, the monthly service charges will also be paid in hard foreign currency. For this project, if need to order air-conditioners, TV sets, furniture, maintenance equipment etc can I get EPCG license and not be required to pay import duty provided I earn foreign exchange as indicated above in specified time?I need an expert advice. From what I read online, my project may not be qualified since we will not be exporting anything even though we will be earning huge amount of foreign exchange. I may be wrong. Please advise. Also I need a consultant to process my application. Do you do it? Or, would you recommend someone you know?

Nilesh Talele : We had IEC license for HS code 25151210 which was expired 7-8 years back. But now wanted to renew license. Initially I had inquired with local clearing agent they informed that this is restricted item. Further I had navigated some more link found following 1) It shows for HS code 25151210 trading is going happening. http://www.cybex.in/imports-data-india/rough-marble-block-hs-25151210.aspx 2) Letter from DCFT dated on 15-Oct-2009 http://www.eximguru.com/notifications/policy-for-issue-of-import-21607.aspx We are the end user of the product and not for commercial purpose. Right now finding the way to approach.Do you give renewal OR getting new license service OR do you know a firm who gives this service?
