Duty Drawback under under Re- Exports –Some information

 

Duty drawback is an incentive given to exporters by government of India against export of materials.

 

drawback under re exportsAny goods imported by paying duty prior to export which includes such imported item, duty draw back can be claimed with certain cuts from Government through customs department. The duty drawback can be claimed by declaring such claim when filing export documents with customs for exports. Such duty drawback is granted under section of Indian Customs Act, 1962 read with re-export of Import of goods Drawback of customs duty rules, 1995. Such duty draw back has to be claimed within 18 months from the date of import. Such claim for duty drawback has to be filed within months from the date of exports.
